AI4MAT Experiment
The objective of AI4MAT experiment, as sub-granted project of the European project AIRISE, is to test and validate an AI-powered service to select advanced material typology/configuration solutions, in early stage of Machine Tool design, on the basis of targeted performance.
A significant challenge lies in the methodological approach for confidently and robustly validating AI algorithms/models, particularly in the innovative application of AI/machine-learning techniques for data-driven materials selection in the Machine Tools sector.
Additionally, ensuring the interpretability and explainability of AI predictions is crucial to make the data-driven approach more trustworthy. Then, this aspect will be then also addressed within the experiment.
